A veteran-owned small business and DoD supplier hopeful approached our studio with an innovative weapon mounting system.
he company leadership wanted to develop DoD interest and win a production contract for the system, but they needed to interest champions within a notoriously conservative, risk-averse and bureaucratic organization.
Any frontline product used by the DoD directly affects warfighters’ lives, and innovations undergo scrutiny before being seriously considered and tested. Yet the product was promising, and California Technical Media accepted the commission to produce a presentation for the Department of Defense.
Solutions
California Technical Media produced a presentation for AUSA 2021 that gave a concise rundown of the features and interoperability of the system.
The system works with LMGs currently in use by the U.S. military as well as a number of vehicles, including the new GM ISV and rigid hull boats (used, in part, by the U.S. Border Protection on the Rio Grande.)
The presentation was successful, as measured by a purchase order by the U.S. Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command, made possible in significant part by designing the presentation specifically for a known end-user with known wants, needs and requirements.
